Who is behind treecar?

Treecar.co.uk is a car rental booking system which enables you to hire cars (worldwide) with just about all the major car hire companies. Treecar.co.uk acts only as the booking service and your car is rented with the hire company shown on the results and confirmed when you complete the booking. Treecar.co.uk is run by red2, as a travel systems company we wanted to combine car hire with an environmentally friendly approach.

If I have a question before or after renting who should I contact?

You can contact us via the contact form on the site. We’ll shortly be adding a phone number to allow you to give us a call. For the time being if you submit a question online we guarantee that we’ll get back to you within 24 hours. If you have a problem with your car, then this should be dealt with by the hiring company directly, however, we’re always happy to help, so please get in touch. It’s our aim to provide not just a great environmentally friendly car hire website, but also to provide great service.

Can I hire a car if I’m not living in the UK?

Yes, treecar.co.uk works for all locations and destinations, no matter what country you’re booking from. You need to make sure you select your country of residence on the home page to ensure you’re provided with the correct price and that your rental agreement is correct.

What happens with the tree planting when I rent a car?

Treecar.co.uk works with a number of environmental charities who run projects to support the environment and in particular with trees. Currently we donate to the World Land Trust, where we buy acres of trees.  We’re more than happy to hear about other charities and projects we can sponsor and we’d like you to get in touch via our contact form to let us know.

Does it cost any more to book with treecar.co.uk?

No, we offer the same competitive pricing as all the other car hire websites out there on the internet. When you book a car with treecar.co.uk we receive a commission, part of which is donated for the environment and other part which is used to fund the website. The majority of our costs are advertising to make people aware of the website, so you can help by letting people know we’re here.
